Well you've got me confused alright . I want to konw whether the 92-94 tank (the one still available) would fit on this bike (it's a RD08 as read in the vin), not vice versa. Following the logic that each of Acerbis' tank generation should match each dommie styling generation, they ought to be a perfect match, but I have understood that there are some differences concerning my particular series and year of make.

Aight, let me clear things up a bit. The frame mounts for the tank differ in-between dommie generations: RD02 and RD08. This is why I find it difficult to believe the RD02 tank (acerbis 92-94 gen) will fit the italian-made RD08. AT LEAST NOT WITH STOCK MOUNTING KIT. The fairing curve SHOULD line-up but I haven't checked this yet.

Bottom line: it's a gamble. I'll be able to confirm the interchangeability only when I get my tanks - I'll be ordering a 92 and a 96 tank.
