I bought the same tank some years ago and I tried to mount on RD02.

You need to enlarge the lower part of the tank, with hot air, to fit it on the frame, specially in the rear zone.

Then you need to modify the seat, if you want that fit properly (I didn't).

Honestly, I didn't like so much the design of this tank, so I sold it, but the red one is better.

    Here on my bike:

when you mean hot air you mean with hot gun?this will not harm the tank?for the seat maby i will buy a second one to modify.in picture the tank looks great(in my eyes) and seems ok with stock seat.do you have another pictures? [SM=x653544]

yes, hot gun. It doesn't harm the tank, if you don't exceed.
I put the tank on a clamp, modify with two higher wings. I blew hot air on lower tank part and at the same time slowly I enlarged the clamp.

If you'll do this, you'll had to work bit by bit, with the hot gun e with the clamp.

When finally I put the tank on the frame, it fits right on the front rubber pins, but it was higher on the rear part (consider that the dominator frame in this point is larger than xl, xr and every other model).

then I stop my experiment because in the meanwhile I found a dominator acerbis tank ...

I should create a fixing for the tank in the rear part, modify a seat (shorten and modeled on tank) and modify the fairing panel under seat.

Here all pictures that I did, note that the seat and the fairing panel under seat were of second series dominator (1992-95)

    Re:
looking at these pictures it seems that the first tank is shorter than yours(rear area).maby it is more near to oil cap

and these pictures looks like to be little different tanks [SM=g27833]

anyway i'll go to the store to see the tank.if i can i'll put it on my domi to see if i'll buy it.but it seems,it will need a lot of work to install.my domi is '95(S) and plastics are same as yours in pictures.
do you know if XR'S 400 tank needs same work to install?
thanks a lot for infos and fotos [SM=x653544]

Edit .i just found this acerbis tank for domi in good price.is it the right tank for my 1995 S model?

    HI Giorgos,

you're right, I didn't notice that the tanks were different! No way..

The Xr 400 tank has another kind of fixing to the frame in the front part, and you'd need to cut the original dominator supports and weld the new one in a lower position (a simple nut for each side could be good). Consider that the original one is quite little, compared with every acerbis model.

    Here's a picture:

As Piergarden said, Dommy Acerbis tanks 2nd and 3rd series are the same shape, and I think that's the best choice, because has a quite good design and you don't need to modify seat and fairing!
