yours is a very nice looking bike indeed.. I like both the masks and the new levers too; please, could you send me the link to the store where you bought them? thanks!

A question about the front disk rotor size: 250mm or oversize? ..do you feel safe also for street use?

Levers bought from this store www.ebay.com/itm/New-Short-CNC-anordized-Brake-Clutch-Levers-For-Honda-Dominator-NX650-1988-2001-/131483935878?hash=item1e9d0da486:g:w-oAAOSwj0NUdaIh...
There are also these but they have not precut www.ebay.com/itm/Short-CNC-Anodized-Brake-Clutch-Levers-For-HONDA-Dominator-NX650-1988-2001-/141847653301?fits=Make%3AHonda%7CModel%3ANX650&var=&hash=item2106c76bb5:m:mv35BztawbZsLneU89RvKPw...
And these but they are longer www.ebay.com/itm/3D-Anodized-Long-Brake-Clutch-levers-For-HONDA-Dominator-NX650-1988-2001-2000-/141783323780?var=&hash=item2102f1d484:m:mrILaqh33BpuqrhjnVCaoDQ...

Wheel, hub and brake rotor are oem(stock) from Domy, caliper is Brembo from KTM(bought with the fork).Wheel axle is from lathe.
As you probably know, Domy brake rotor is 256mm and KTM's 260mm so there is few mm surface which brake pads doesn't touch brake rotor(you can see a little rust in picture below).
But braking power is very good,i have never feel unsafe in the street especially when i use Brembo pads.

thanks Giorgos! [SM=g28002]
Great you saved the Domy oem front wheel!
I just finished a complete front end swap from a suzuki drz400e and now the rotor is 250mm, I'm a little concerned about that.. but I haven't tested yet.
Anyway, last question, which brake pump are you using, oem domy Brembo or Nissin or what else? I think the brake levers are different from the two makes so I want to be sure prior to place the order.
thanks again.

DRZ400E is also very nice fork [SM=g28002]
For some year's i used an unidentified honda brake pump. When i tried to install new brake lever i saw that it wasn't same as the one i had.

A friend of mine gave me Nissin brake pump from Transalp 650 and it did fit with new cnc brake lever.I think it is (almost)identical to Domy's Nissin brake pumps.CMSNL part fiches shows that Domy's brake lever has same part code as Transalp's 600(i can't find 650's part fiche).
Domy 1995 www.cmsnl.com/honda-nx650-dominator-1995-s-european-direct-sales_model3933/lever-assy-hand_53170mab621/#.Vx0...

I have no idea if oem brake levers from Domy's with Brembo pump(as yours) can directly swapped to Domy's Nissin pumps.Maybe someone from here(Ciro or Paolo) can help you for this.

Hi, it's exactly what I thought. I know the Nissin and Brembo levers are different so, first of all, I will try to catch a spare Nissin pump in my domy mates group... [SM=g27985] [SM=g27988]
It seems that no sellers out there knows that from 1995 Dominators use the Brembo brakes.. [SM=g28001]

Hi, I see that there is a (standard? M18?) counter bolt on the wheel axel on the disk side and it seems also an adaptive bushing between the fork and the bolt, what dimension you used for the axle?

On my bike I've placed the disk and the pads in the same way as You with some mm free from the disk. I'm a little bit concerned because we'll get a pad wear where it touchs the disk and on the free space not wear. The difference between wear and not wear will naturally increase with time and the not wear pads will finally touch each other before that the wear touchs the disk... So I think that when it will happen I will grind the free space of the pad.

Hi All, before my last fork upgrade I also had the same issue, with disk and caliper not perfectly aligned. So, I had manually filed down the excess part of the pad, I know, not so nice.. but very practical!

Yes! in pratica avevo modellato le pastiglie in modo che non eccedessero il profilo del disco..so che non è "bello" ma funziona e credo che non produca alcun "effetto collaterale"..

Hi,it's a locknut with a washer behind it.There's also a handmade(by lathe) wheel spacer between bearing and fork.Handmade is axle too but unfortunately i don't have dimensions because i bought all these parts used.I guess that axle is a mix between Domy and KTM axles.

About brake pads
I've done fork conversion 5-6 years ago and i have change 2-3 brake pads from then.I never saw the non wear pads touch each other. In pictures below you can see old pads that i've replaced. The no wear area is quite small and never cause me a problem.

Hi friends
I bought this rally fairing from uk,it needs some work(i'll put it little higher) but it's ok for now. Also installed a polisport sm front fender.

I need some help for rear shock/suspension.I'm using bitubo shock but i want to raise rear few centimeters to work better with WP upside down front suspension.
I have found that if i modify link(modifica leveraggi posteriori) the rear will increase about 3-4cm
This picture is from our forum,i used google translation but i'm not sure if i understand it well.
Has someone of you done this modification? If yes i would like to see some photos

There is also this foto from over2000riders,is the same modification as above?

The Modifications are different. I'm really afraid about the mods in the black pictures. First of all you are joking with the safety of your bike. Higher bumpers already exist and need little adjustments on the domy system. With the mods in the black pictures, you reduce the lenght of the arms and make holes before the enforced point.
What if break? And while you are riding.
It coud be different if you create a new part from the full metal using and calculating the right break points and the right distance without weaking the metal.
Some of us has tried the xr 600 '88 rear bumper. There are some posts about it.
Anyway, your bike is really amazing.

Hi Dino
I've just read some posts for XR600 shock but total cost(to buy and mod it) will be pricey.
I may try the solution of creating a new part like these
Ciro's soluti0n(this is for RD02 of course)
postimg.org/image/5evcsts8v/

or something like this

For black picture(with friendly disposal [SM=g27985] )
I would like to know if this mod is dangerous or not because it's posted to tutorial FAI DA TE(DIY) www.dominator650.it/fai-da-te/ciclistica-e-freni/leveraggio-della-sospensione-po...

I read this ''Dominator650.it declina ogni responsabilità per danni a persone o a cose.'' but if this mod is not usefull(or dangerous) why is it there?
